Zoya’s Tru

My initial thought on this color was “pass”. It looked like a medium concord-grape purple creme in the promo pics, and it just didn't do a thing for me.

Then I saw peoples' manicure pics.

There are red and gold microflakies in this polish (larger than glitter, sparse, but smaller than most polish flakies) that really make it stand out. The resulting finish is kind of similar to Skylar, but with red and gold instead of silver and gold. The purple color is a little richer than it looked, and the warm highlights really make the color stand out spectacularly. (I have no idea what happened in my first photo. The lighting's just…off. It's the same polish, I swear! It just looks like it's a slightly different shade.)

All of my manicure photos were taken indoors, where the flakies showed up fairly well. They're probably much more dramatic in full sunlight.
