In the pot, this looks like a bright red. Applied, it's lightened ever so slightly. The color payoff is a little less than what I'd hoped for, and a little softer than it appears in the pot; but it's even, it's similar both dry and foiled, and there's a pink shimmer that really shows up when the color is applied wet. Extremely dark, more charcoal than red showing in this. It's equally dark in the pot as it is on my lids, so I don't know if I got a less-than-amazing batch, or something else is at play. I don't know if it's personal preference, coloring, or age (not 13) but I tend to prefer dusty pinks to “ballerina” or straight pastel pinks. Nadir looked a little more tanned in the vendor photos than it does in person - but no matter. The tones in the pink and the slight silvering mean that it's not “just another pink”...though it does come close. It reminds me of Aromaleigh v1's Camellia (minus the metallic finish, of course.)
