I owned 11 out of the 16 colors in this kit - this, and the Teal Palette kit were the ones that I had independently purchased most of the colors in fullsize, before making the decision to “fill in the holes” in my BFTE collection.

The colors cover the purple range fairly well, with a mixture of warm and cool shades. Most of the finishes are shimmers, with a few satins and frosts.

My favorite colors in this kit are Big Ego, Faith, Lovestruck, and Spider Venom. My least favorites are Peony and Within Reason - they're very soft, slightly greyed plush-looking colors that are more like highlights than eyeshadows. But I'm sure that to some folks, they're the Holy Grail Shades. I can especially imagine Peony, Lavender or Within Reason looking lovely on deeper cool- and neutral-toned eyelids.

• Rock You — vivid violet with sparse gold sparkle
• Spider Venom — medium-dark violet sparkle
• Thistle — medium-light lavender satin
• Waiting On My Prince — soft lilac with blue interference shimmer
• Within Reason — muted mauve-lilac shimmer
