Meow Cosmetics’ Exposed

Most orange eyeshadows I've run across have been so bright that they're almost perpetually sunny, or so deep/rusty that they're almost a warm variant of brown. When an orange comes along that's in the middle of that range and it actually has good color payoff, I'm absolutely thrilled.

This shade almost has a metallic finish. It's got more gold tones than yellow, and it stays in place and keeps its luster well, even without any fixing spray. I like how it's orange enough to very nicely complement my eyecolor while being just deep enough to avoid looking like a “summer-bright” shade. (Those can be pretty, but I prefer slightly darker shades - they're more versatile, in the looks that I prefer to wear.)

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.
