Urban Decay has four “Naked” palettes, including the “Naked Basics”: palettes of true neutrals, gold-neutrals, cool neutrals, and rose neutrals. Silk Naturals has three corresponding palettes (no equivalent to Naked Basics.)
Meow Cosmetics covered neutral, rose, gold, and cool neutrals in one palette…and did a damn good job, too. True, if you love rosy neutral eyeshadows, you have fewer choices in this palette than the ones from the other two vendors. But Peeled and Topless are both great colors with softer finishes. All the shades in this palette are great for use alongside other colors or other shadows from this collection.
Most of the finishes are satin or pearl, with a few near-mattes and shimmers. There are colors from almost every major group...except purples. I see red, orange, yellow, green, blue, brown, grey, black...but no purple. That's about the only shade in the rainbow that isn't somehow represented in this collection. How amazing is that!!!
