Meow Cosmetics’ Something Wicked collection

Every year now, since its opening year, Meow has released seasonal collections. Also every year, they’ve brought back the old collections…and added new ones. (Not necessarily too many new collections, or we’d be overwhelmed!!) Last year’s Asylum was a group of brighter shadows that looked…I don’t know, more like summer primaries and near-primaries. This year, we get the deeper shades.

Meow Cosmetics’ Something Wicked collection

The palette looks a little more autumnal, to me, than last year's Asylum collection. There's a fairly good balance of warm, neutral, and cool colors. All of them are pretty saturated, though, even the less deep shadows. Wicked is a harvest-gold shadow, something I haven't seen in many other Meow collections. Folie a Deux has blue undertones with the brown-gold shimmer top layer, such that it reminded me of the limited-edition duochrome Hopeless from the never-coming-back End of Days collection. Valley of the Dead also has the dual-color effects, but a softer yellow top layer and a more greenish undertone.

This collection contained:

  • Eternal Night — cerulean shimmer
  • Folie a Deux — metallic blued gold-brown shimmer
  • Nefarious — fuchsia-maroon shimmer
  • Nightmare — metallic blue-spruce green shimmer
  • Tormented — metallic aged-gold shimmer
  • Valley of the Dead — muted deep olive shimmer
  • Wicked — harvest-gold shimmer
  • Wretched Soul — blackened deep green shimmer
