This is the second Morphe palette I got…and yes, I paid full price for it. (It’s the only other Morphe palette that I paid full price for, lucky me. I hit a big sale in late August.)
This was for Morphe’s 2021 Pride collection, so of course it’s rainbow-themed.

We have flags. So many flags. So many other color combinations. Bisexuality’s deep rose, vivid violet-blue, and purple! Aro/ace’s green, purple, and grey! Pansexuality’s bold pink, yellow, and blue! The “sunset lesbian” red, orange and white with the “labyris” purple and black! Polysexuality’s vivid rose, bright green, and cerulean! And that doesn’t cover all of the queer-pride flags. A company could do so damn much more for Pride-themed releases than yet another rainbow palette (even if it’s a Philly-Pride palette like this one, with three deeper browns and a black…an improvement over Morphe’s 25L Volume 1, from 2020, which was pretty much just the Roy G. Biv shades.)
Ahem. Rant over. For now.
This palette has 13 mattes, 11 shimmers, and one micro-glitter sparkle. The colors don’t seem to be grouped in a rigid order, through the least saturated shades are toward the top left and the more saturated shades are further down. I can pick up and apply the mattes fairly easily, though they are on the softer side and can be prone to being a bit patchy if applied on bare skin.
The matte shades really are pretty nice. They’re softer, so they can be a bit dusty if you swirl your brush too enthusiastically. I think that I prefer that to a super-compacted matte eyeshadow that I have to actually scrape off product to use it, though. The third row down is my absolute favorite: I love all of those colors, and they all have pretty good color payoff. I’m less fond of the lighter “frost” finish shadows in the top two rows, though. I have a hard time getting good color coverage, and they don’t blend very easily once they’re layered heavily.
This kit contained 25 colors, arranged in five rows of 5 colors each:
