After my 2014 BBAC Sleek-palette series where I used almost all of my Sleek i-Divine palettes - many for the first time - I was really looking forward to Sleek’s Del Mar II palette. In retrospect, I think I would have had more fun with the Volume I palette - the colors are a bit more to my preference. These shades aren’t bad, though there are a few whose quality is a little on the lower side. But…yeah. Definitely wish I had picked up the Del Mar Volume I.
The colors are low to medium saturation levels, a mix of finishes (mostly satins and pearls), and colors all across the spectrum. The pigmentation is about average for Sleek palettes: nothing amazing, but not as poor an experience for me as, say, the Paraguaya palette. I know that for many folks this will be a go-to palette to grab, but the overall shade range isn't grabbing me. I think I would have difficulty making looks out of these colors, that I'd be genuinely excited to wear. (That's a comment on my color preferences, not an observation of the quality of the shadows.)
