Sleek Makeup’s Oh So Special i-Divine Palette

Another bring-over from Sirvinya! We were both a bit worried about the palettes surviving the trip, but nothing crumbled, all the colors were perfectly intact. I wasn’t sure if I wanted this palette, because the colors looked vaguely similar to the Storm palette (the first Sleek makeup palette that she sent to me), with more of an emphasis on the warmer neutrals. It’s got a mix of matte and shimmers, along with the ever-present Noir.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

The leftmost four eyeshadows, in the palette: Bow, Organza, Gateau, Pamper The middle four eyeshadows, in the palette: Ribbon, Gift Basket, Boxed, The Mail The rightmost four eyeshadows, in the palette: Glitz, Celebrate, Noir, Wrapped Up Four eyeshadows, swatched dry over primer: Bow, Organza, Gateau, Pamper Four eyeshadows, swatched dry over primer: Ribbon, Gift Basket, Boxed, The Mail Four eyeshadows, swatched dry over primer: Glitz, Celebrate, Noir, Wrapped Up

The colors in this palette are:

Upper row

  • Bow — pale cream matte
  • Organza — tanned pale mauve shimmer
  • Ribbon — salmon-pink matte
  • Gift Basket — gilded cocoa shimmer
  • Glitz — stormcloud blue-grey shimmer
  • Celebrate — purple-black shimmer

Lower row

  • Pamper — pale baby-pink matte
  • Gateau — pinked lavendar with gold duochrome shimmer
  • The Mail — golden tan matte
  • Boxed — medium deep neutral brown matte
  • Wrapped Up — medium deep cool brown matte
  • Noir — black matte

All colors swatched dry over primer.

Bow is like the matte version of Martini, from the Curacao palette. Organza is a nice warm-neutral shimmer that reminds me faintly of BE's Bare Skin with a higher shimmer factor. Ribbon is a matte finish, but it's got a higher pigmentation level than Bow - much higher. It actually shows up when you ask it to smile Gift Basket is a fairly straightforward medium-light brown shimmer. Glitz reminds me a little bit of BE's High Shine Vapor, with a lower albedo. Celebrate looks like Meow's Surprises (from their 2010 Holiday collection.)

Pamper is another barely-pigmented matte shade. Gateau is interesting! The cool pinked lilac base with a gold duochrome is really lovely. It reminds me of Bare Escentuals' Trust. The Mail is the third definite matte shade, and while it's got a little more pigmentation than Bow or Pamper, it's still pretty weak. Boxed is a straight neutral brown matte-esque, Wrapped Up is a cool brown matte with some purple undertones (almost a matte version of Celebrate), and Noir is...well, it's Noir. It's the ubiquitous black matte shade.

My favorites from this palette are Gateau, Glitz, and Celebrate. My least favorite are Bow, Pamper, and The Mail.
