Sleek Makeup’s Original i-Divine Palette

I bought this palette and the Sunset and Chaos palettes at the same time from Sleek. I figured - since I have to pay so much for shipping, and pay the same shipping price for three or four palettes as for one, I may as well make the shipping cost count! The colors in this palette are almost all shimmers - so they adhere well. Better than Sleek’s matte colors, at any rate, which don’t seem to have much color payoff and which seem to melt away rather quickly (what I have been able to apply.)

This was the first i-Divine palette, so the colors are not named. I’ll use the same nomenclature system I used for my review of the Sunset i-Divine palette: upper or lower row, and then numbered 1-6, starting on the lefthand side. The top row is all cool colors, the bottom row is warm colors (or, in one case, a cool color with definite warm tones.)

This kit contained:

  • Upper-1: the matte black that's in so many of the Sleek palettes. It's a completely matte black, not as dark as some liner shades I've seen but it has good color payoff.
  • Upper-2: medium violet shimmer.
  • Upper-3: midnight navy shimmer
  • Upper-4: sandwashed denim shimmer.
  • Upper-5: teal shimmer.
  • Upper-6: dusty emerald shimmer.
  • Lower-1: pale yellow shimmer. It's the metallic version of Bamboo, the invisible matte from the Monaco palette. (Sadly, this color isn't that much more visible for being a metallic instead of a matte shade.)
  • Lower-2: pinked lavendar with gold duochrome shimmer. This color is the same as Gateau from the more recent Oh So Special palette. It's one of my favorites in the OSS palette, and here as well.
  • Lower-3: pink shimmer.
  • Lower-4: medium russet shimmer.
  • Lower-5: golden brown shimmer.
  • Lower-6: warm antique olive shimmer.

My favorites in this palette are Upper-3 (the midnight navy shimmer), Lower-2 (the Gateau predecessor), and Lower-6 (the antiqued olive shimmer.) I could have done without another matte black, and Lower-1 (the metallic version of Bamboo) is not dreadfully useful.

While I do like the somewhat recent practice of including a slip with the color names on it...could we possibly just get the color names printed right on the bottom label on the palette? It would sure make things easier if we, say, misplaced that little insert.
