Stila’s Precious Metals kit

In the past year, I’ve picked up a whole lot of Stila eyeliners! I’ve definitely sampled every type that they currently sell - the sparkle liners, the liner pens, the smudge sticks. This duo caught my eye because of the colors and the finish. While there are a good deal of metallic eyeliners available, there aren’t many in gold or bright silver. Black, brown (in all its variations), grey, dark blue, dark purple, a few greens…but not many brights, and gold and silver seem to be few and far between, or only produced as novelty-shades by drugstore brands. I grabbed this pair from Sephora over the holidays, on sale - so I ended up paying $10 for these two colors, instead of Stila’s current pricetag of $25, or the cost of buying them invidually - $44. They do skip a bit more than the other smudge stick liners I have from Stila. I don’t know if that’s because of the metallic finish, or a formula specific to these two. However, they do apply more evenly than the few other silver liner pencils I’ve had a chance to try out. I also love that these are the kind of liners that I don’t have to sharpen - thus wasting product! While they can smudge for a bit after I first put them on, they do stay in place once applied and given time to set. Only Koi, the silver one, is marked as being waterproof.

This kit contained:

  • Koi — metallic bright gold shimmer
  • Silver Dollar — metallic bright silver shimmer
