TKB Trading’s Star Bite collection

If you are not a fan of extremely obvious glitter, do not get these. On the other hand, if you want to bling up your eyeshadow, your hair, your nail polish…and you want something that colorshifts - you’re set.

When I opened these up to repot them, I was reminded of a makeup formulator’s statement about the creation of a particular glitter adhesive: he wanted to wear glitter and look like pixie - not look like he’d been shagged by one. Opening up these jars released all kinds of glitter particles to float lazily around the room, settle on the counters and in my hair, alight upon the cat, et cetera. For a few hours, everything was extremely festive (whether it wanted to be or not.)

These are larger particles, so they are actually not recommended for use near the eyes. (You can use them 'straight up' or add them to your existing eyeshadow, just be aware that you won't get a smooth shimmer you'll get a SPARKLE SPARKLE.) Full details and cautions are available on TKB Trading's product page.

This collection contained:

  • Cherika Moon shifts blue, to purple, to red orange
  • Marinda Star shifts from red to orange to yellow
  • Shanira Sun shifts from gold, to green to blue

The original version of Marinda Star has been discontinued, but another version - with a slightly different colorshift - has taken its place. (Lucky me, I got the original version.)
