Close to BE's Sun Goddess, but less of the gold interference. Not quite a match for White Gold, either, which is more opaque and also has more of the gold interference additive. Still Ill is great for a brow highlight or inner-vee, or used as a standalone eyeshadow.
I wasn’t going to pick these up, because more reds and I have lots of reds and pinks. But…they’re duochromes! So, yep, I caved. I now own all but one of these colors.
I have no idea how I found the price, but not the release date. Going by review dates on QVC, I’m going to guess that this kit was an early-2007 release - so it would have just barely predated my heavy slide into BE collector-dom. It contained two colors...
Not something that couldn't be found elsewhere. Plenty of elsewheres, and for less money (even for good versions, not just “matte black oxide that isn't water soluble.”) But a deep black matte is virtually a staple in an eyeshadow range, so let's see what Onyx has going for it:
