I first saw this pencil in the winter 2011 Electric travel kit. It showed up again, full sized this time, in the original Ocho Loco kit. It got added to the regular line in March 2013 when the Glide On Eye Pencil collection was refreshed.
I did it!! I did it!! Three colors only!! I did it!! It was a near thing. I opened the palette and thought Oh, the teal and navy on the outer lid, the peach-pink in the middle, and just a tiny bit of the rust-orange on the innermo…no, dammit!...
I picked this one up at DragonCon 2013. I saw a display of what I thought were summer-exclusives, so picked up a pair of interesting-looking shades. Turns out they're permanent, but…no harm done! Both are pretty, though a little frostier than I normally prefer wearing.
So for those of you who have done the nice smooth sponge gradients…what did I do wrong? I got those denser sponges, because I wanted a smooth gradient rather than the “stippled” effect I got here. Did I get the wrong kind of sponge? Or did I press too...
Definitely a warm purple - it would look at home with BFTE's Soul Mate collection, or its newer Wine Country quad. Coverage and color payoff were both good. This is a fairly clear purple, so if I were trying to use this in a smokey eye I'm not sure it...
It looks periwinkle-ish in the pot, but applies as a classic “baby blue” with roughened silver shimmer. The color payoff is a little faint on this one, and not just because of the shade. I got some thin spots with both the wet and the dry application.
Originally released through Nordstrom as a GWP (gift-with-purchase) color, this shade was so insanely sought after that BE eventually put it into a few of their limited-edition kits. They finally added it to one of their Holiday 2011 kits.
Monaco is a good transitional / all autumn long palette. It's got the semi-pastel shades Kiwi Zest and Lotus Flower and Summer Breeze, along with Magenta Madness. Then there are Washed Ashore, Moor's Treasure, Midnight Garden, and Aquamarine to ground the looks a bit. It really is, to me, a more...
