BareMinerals’ Purist
More of a true yellow than Soft Focus Dune, though there are similarities. This color was a bit brighter.

This color was used on me in the “customer event” makeover I had done at a BE boutique back in November. The application was hideous, but I liked the color. It was being sold as one of four colors in one of those little iQuads (which I loathe), and when...
Amazing near-duochrome, similar to TKB's Capricorn Sea mica (but with far more pigmentation) or Shiro Cosmetics' Zora (but with a slightly cooler shimmer.) Like Commercialism, this color isn't quite dark enough to be easily used as a dry liner shade; but it looks great wetlined. It does work as a...
Gorgeous, lush, rich purple with strong blue undertones. I definitely think that calling this a “vivid violet-indigo” is right on the mark! I've seen others define this as a “true royal blue”. I don't know of any colors I own that are a close dupe for this, but I may...
There's enough shimmer to this color that it's nearly metallic, but not so much shimmer that you risk heavy fallout. This color isn't deep enough to use as a regular (dry) liner on its own unless you used sheers or softer neutrals; but it makes a gorgeous accent-liner when wetlined....

The color combination is okay…but a bit pallid (especially considering the kit name). These are both re-released eye colors, and they’re not even among the strongest neutrals that BE has in its palette. The blush duo is an item that’s been around for a while, as well....
Originally introduced in late September 2008, this kit was still available for purchase through QVC over two years later…though there were, of course, fewer choices of foundation shade and the kit was full priced. I initially was uninterested in this kit because the colors seemed a bit uninteresting. I later...
I held off on this kit because I figured: it’s another BE kit from QVC. The fill levels will be pretty poor…as has (in)famously happened with several recent QVC kits, like Destination Key West and the Most Wanted Volume III. And it’ll probably be sheer colors...
