The first two eye quickie sets from Bare Escentuals were pretty much white-with-iridescent: good for highlighting or glazing, but not they did have a somewhat limited range. This set had two very sheer colors, which made better glazes or highlights than base colors; but like BE’s Chameleon or Peacock, the two colors in this set had a basic appearance that was not white. (This did trip people up a bit, though, as they tried to use these like any other BE glimpse.)

This kit contained four eyecolors which could be coordinated (a bit), and a miniature eyeshadow brush. The colors were middle of the road, in terms of color payoff - all were semisheer. I had such high hopes for Red Velvet Cake! Sadly, it was a red, but not opaque unless you packed it on.

This was one of the A/D kits available through QVC in 2008 - one of the “gems and jewelry” A/D series: Bare Gold, Bare Diamond, Bare Platinum, and Bare Pearl. Each of the kits’ colors was reported to be “infused” with the mineral/metal/gem for that particular set.
