I think this is the only color from the 2009 Mad Tea Party collection that is still sold by Fyrinnae. (The other that I think I’ve seen is We’re All Mad Here; the others, including Ravens & Writing Desks and Painted Roses and Treacle Well, all haven’t been in Fyrinnae’s inventory for at least two years.) The color payoff and finish are much the same whether applied wet or dry. For comparison: Faerie Glamour has the purple duochrome shift; and Digital Faerie is less sparkly and a bit deeper-toned than this shade.

Excellent color payoff - better than many mid-range browns. I don’t personally know that I’d use this one as a liner shade, simply because I prefer either deeper liner colors or bold bright shades. I think this would work easily as a regular color because it’s a lighter brown, but there’s enough pigmentation that super-pale folks would need to be careful that they don’t end up with something a bit darker than they were looking for! (This might be an ideal way to use something that’s sheer on its own, like My Pretty Zombie’s Miasma, but that can be used to soften a color without wiping it out.)

This is definitely one of the lighter, least-pigmented shades I’ve purchased from MPZ. Dry, it’s a very pale, semisheer yellow near-matte with very light but even pigmentation. Wet application gets a little bit more pigmentation and enhances the color a bit, but there’s still no shimmer finish. I’ve gotten best use out of this color applying it over a darker cream shadow or pencil to slightly soften that look, or as a blending shade.
TKB Trading’s Chamoisee
- Manufacturer: TKB Trading
- Availability: one-off / color mismatch
- Color Range: medium-deep browned charcoal shimmer
- Staying Power: 3 out of 4
- Cost/Amount: $14 for one ounce
- Would you purchase again: yes

This was a mismixed batch of Antique Silver - one that came from the supplier, and didn’t quite match previous batches of Antique Silver - so it was renamed and sold as a limited edition color. Dry, it shows up as a darker charcoal. I can see using this as a contour or a liner, and folks who love smoky eye looks can get mileage out of it.
