I tend to get this shade a lot. I mean…A LOT a lot. I think I’ve bought this shade from almost every indie company that I’ve bought shadows from. The version from Rockeresque was decent - about average pigmentation, about mid-range in terms of cost, and good staying power.
I like the color, but I kind of wish that it wasn’t microglass fleck. That means I’m not able to use it for stamping, nail art, or much of anything else. (Not that I do those all the time, but…one likes to have options.) The coverage is really good, and the polish itself is a little more durable than most Zoyas that I have.
I’m always interested to see another Vinylux collection come out! And for once, I was interested in the nail art that CND displayed using this collection. (Most of them are also things that I can learn relatively easily…except the embossing. Not sure how I’m going to do that one. But any way…) There’s one color that I haven’t yet worn a full manicure of, and one color out of the six that I think I’...
I can’t tell if this is a very dark brown, or a blackened brown…there’s no residue when I remove it, so maybe it’s just a very dark, rich base color. For me, this makes a better liner or under-contour shade than an all-over or accent color, because it’s such a dark shade.
Almost a version of Brisket - but with a much lighter gold shimmer. I’ve had this sitting in my back log for a LONG time - it’s been nearly six years since this color’s initial release! I think that there are similar shades for the base color.
This color is a bit brighter than I personally care to wear
Not an original combination…but one of the better formulations I’ve used. The glitter isn’t so thick that fallout is an issue, but it’s not an easily-blended-away component of the shadow.
Medium evergreen with good coverage and adhesion. The gold is definitely a hint rather than one of the main things you see. It’s not quite the shade that I personally would use as a liner - I’d want something deeper - but it’s got very solid color payoff, so it works as a liner or an accent shade.
