Cherry Culture’s Jumbo Shadow Liner collection

I had such hopes for this collection. I really did. Not only was it the same price as the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils - which seemed to be on their way out, at least at Cherryculture and Beautyjoint - but this collection had some amazing darker colors that I hadn’t seen in any jumbo shadow pencil collection. I went a little wild, and bought 16 total.

Sad to say…they suck.

The colors are, indeed, amazing. The pencil application is very smooth and even. But…these things don’t ever seem to set or cure. I’ve tried setting sprays, finishing sprays, translucent powder over the top…they still stayed highly malleable to “still partially smudgeable” for hours. That’s just not something that I can work with or easily overlook. These are more like poor-quality theatrical greasepencils than eyeshadow pencils for general consumers who are actually going to wear these to work, for their daily lives, et cetera.
