This colorshift combination has been tried a lot of times as a nail polish…and somehow, it rarely works. It works VERY well in this eyeshadow, though! I think the reason that it works is because the shift doesn’t stop at gold, but moves past into green. It’s actually visible! (The various nail polishes that have tried this must have used a lot less of the colorshifting ingredient, because they really only catch the middle of this spectrum.) This color is NOT swatched over a dark base, by the way. That’s just: skin, primer, Alluring.
See what I mean about “it’s actually visible”?
Like all of the Premiums shadows from Dawn Eyes, this doesn’t look its best when applied dry. The colorshift is visible, but the shadow itself is lumpy and uneven. Applying it very sparingly - to try and avoid the “lumpy” issue - results in much-less-visible multichrome effects.
