All of the entries for the year 2020 were completed before March 2020. Most items were bought in, or before, 2019. And so, despite the pandemic where buying makeup is definitely a lower priority, I'm still publishing these posts.
Makeup Revolution’s Colour Book Shadow Palette CB04 kit

Do you love pinks and purples? Well…look elsewhere. This palette probably had a lot of people very happy when they saw that amid the blue-green, grey, and bolder red-orange palettes was a beloved-by-(nearly-)all pink and purple palette.

But wait a minute. Take a look at the colors. Do you see how many of them are lighter? Yeah. That’s a lot. And historically, those lighter colors from Makeup Revolution just don’t perform all that well. Many of these are difficult to work with - more so than the other pressed-pigment palettes. The four deepest pink/rose colors and the four deepest purple shades in this palette are lovely - both the matte and shimmer versions. But are those eight shadows worth 20? (I personally would say no, only because there are so many other places to get pink and purple eyeshadow palettes…but I also bought the blue and green palette straightaway and love it, and I know that not everyone would make that same decision.)
