I have eyeballed these for years, but abstained because I didn't think that I'd ever actually use them. (I'm not big on actually getting into costume. I'm too lazy.) This year...I finally pulled the trigger. The format is pretty standard jumbo crayon makeup pencil. They're marketed as "face and body crayons", so I don't know if they're eye- or lip-safe. The colors take a bit of time to cure, which means that if you want to apply-and-blend, you've got lots of time. If you want to apply-and-set, you'll want to use a setting powder or fixing spray. The colors can also be pretty stubborn, so be very careful about getting them on any clothing. (Tip: if you do get some on clothing that you want to keep, use a little bit of hairspray. Aqua Net aerosol spray works best, and it's generally pretty cheap. For decades, I've kept a bottle of it with my laundry supplies.)

I initially bought seven colors, and bought three more (hot pink, yellow, and bronze) when they went on sale. I completely missed the blue one, which I REALLY wanted to get - it sold out before I bought a single crayon. But since the collection is made available every Autumn with the rest of the Fantasy Makers stuff, there’s always next year!
