Maybelline’s Matte Brown Color Tattoo cream shadow

Maybelline’s Matte Brown Color Tattoo cream shadow

Posted on Saturday, at

Boring description, gorgeous color (on me, at least!) It's a neutral brown, doesn't lean obviously warm or cool. The Chocolate Suede color tattoo that is part of the regular line is nothing like this one at all, nothing. I am SO glad that I snagged two of this color! This...

Milani Cosmetics’ Shadow Eyez pencil in Cafe au Lait

Milani Cosmetics’ Shadow Eyez pencil in Cafe au Lait

A good basic lighter brown creme (or matte - there's very little shine on this color, that I typically associate with “creme”-finish makeup items.) I like how this applies smoothly and with no thin spots or clumping. I also like how it gives me color without it being too...

Urban Decay’s 24-7 Eye Pencil in Goldmine

Urban Decay’s 24-7 Eye Pencil in Goldmine

Posted on Saturday, at

Urban Decay does not have the best track record ever when it comes to gold eyeliner pencils. (I think it might be gold eyeliner pencils in general, kind of how most yellow nail polish is streaky; because gold eyeliner pencils from other vendors are also kind of fucky.) Eldorado had...

Sally Hansen’s Rose Copper colorfoil

Sally Hansen’s Rose Copper colorfoil

Posted on Friday, at

A little more rose than copper…but not a straight-up pink metallic, either. The polish took a little longer to dry, and has some issues with spreadability (brushstrokes don't show up too strongly, but the finish is a frosty foil) and the color is very even.

Sally Hansen’s Leaded Lilac colorfoil

Sally Hansen’s Leaded Lilac colorfoil

This color is right on the border between blue and violet and I LOVE IT!!! What I don't love quite so much, is the streakiness. This manicure was after shaking the bottle thoroughly, but to no avail. I still got streaky color. It looked almost as bad as a frost...

Meow Cosmetics’ GAL blush

Meow Cosmetics’ GAL blush

Posted on Friday, at

This is the only one of five blushes that I got from the Wild Child collection. Geek Chic looks like it might be a good color on me; but I have other berry-red blushes that aren’t quasi-glittery.

Jordana’s Twist n Shine Balmstain in Cranberry Crush (06)

Jordana’s Twist n Shine Balmstain in Cranberry Crush (06)

This is one of the darker colors in this lineup. It's not wholly opaque, but it is a bit more so than some of the other shades. The color stain is also more visible. The color is a little on the cooler side - people with very warm or deeper...

Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Tiny Manticore

Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Tiny Manticore

This was not the only brown in the collection. (But it was a darn close thing.) Cake is also brown, but a much softer shade. While Tiny Manticore is a little bit similar to other brown-green duotone shadows that have been released, that's like saying "this dark brown is the...

Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Faerie Fire

Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Faerie Fire

I have a few softer purples with gold shimmer, but I think this color from Femme Fatale was the first time I saw a slightly deeper pastel purple base paired with a green duotone. It's nice to see a different color combination! The purple isn't hidden by the green, and...

Concrete Minerals’ Los Angelitos

Concrete Minerals’ Los Angelitos

This festive blue was the only non-warm color in Concrete Minerals' Sugar Skulls collection. The others were all variants of red, pink, orange, or yellow. I love the shade of this one! It just…tends to soften a bit, when applied. If you want the intense vivid blue that you...
