This color is a bit soft, a bit muted…but it’s one that looks very good on me, whether I use it on my face or on my eyelids. (I’m all about the multitaskers.)

Zoya’s Aire

Zoya’s Aire

Even though I have similar colors from other vendors, I like this shade of blue! It stops just short of being navy. I wish the formula was a little less thick, though. It doesn’t self-level nearly as well as many other Zoya polishes. I only applied two coats - they weren’t much thicker than normal.

Sleek Makeup’s Spirit Animal i-Divine palette

Sleek Makeup’s Spirit Animal i-Divine palette

This was a regrettable theme and name, but a decent set of colors. It was particularly good for folks who loved the Sunset palette but wished that it had some browns or other true neutrals in it. The shadows seemed to be half-and-half shimmer and satin (much softer shimmer, not really a matte) finishes. All of them had fairly good color payoff, though the bolder colors did tend to fade over the course of the day if I didn’t...

Notoriously Morbid’s Effect of Atrocity

Glitter polish! (Sort of.) This is a bit like Zoya’s non-glitter sparkle polishes - you see texture and some flashes of light, but you don’t spend ten minutes soaking each nail in polish remover to get every last trace of it. One coat gives you full coverage, but it’s just barely softened. Two coats gets the full richness and brilliance of the shade.

Zoya’s Bridal Bliss 2018 collection

Zoya’s Bridal Bliss 2018 collection

Posted on Tuesday, at

Zoya first released a “Bridal Bliss” collection in 2018. All of the colors had previously been released. In marketing terms, it was really smart: repromote some of their softer shades that people may have missed the first time around that tend not to get as much attention among all the brighter, bolder shades. Some of the shades in this collection are semisheer, but the majority are solid opaque cream finishes.
