NYX Cosmetics’ Suede Matte Lipstick collection

I have used several different lipstick lines from NYX, with varying degrees of success (love the colors and cost of Round Lipsticks, but the wear-time is not great; love several of the Black Label Lipsticks, which were more expensive but lasted pretty well; the Diamond Sparkle lipsticks were sparkly as hell and a bit…rough.) These are a cream-to-powder formula like Bite’s Multisticks, but they cost less, and there are more different colors. They’re not marketed as being suitable for eyes, cheeks, and lips, but a lot of marketing is just guidelines. And I don’t want to wear Smudge Me on my lips or cheeks, but it looks fantastic on my eyelids.

Four lip colors, swatched: Ace, Cannes, Cherry Skies, and Copenhagen. Four lip colors, swatched: Girl Bye, Fetish, Lavender and Lace, and Lolita. Four lip colors, swatched: Moonwalk, Munchies, Rose the Day, and Shake Your Money. Four lip colors, swatched: Smudge Me, Soft Spoken, STFU, and Sweet Tooth. I bought my first one at Ulta - Sweet Tooth - but the next ones I bought were direct from the NYX website, since Ulta didn't stock them at all. This line was launched after the Suede Matte Lip Liner collection, and while there are 24 shades in the Lipstick line, there are 72 shades in the Lip Liner collection, so there are a few from that line that I'd very much like to see as full-sized color sticks. (I would love to have this cream-to-powder formula in a nearly-vampy red, like Cherry Skies.)

I do find that with this, I see much more of a need for lip liner. Even when using the point of the lipstick bullet to apply, I don't get the sharp line that I get with many other lipsticks. Since I got these with the intent to use them on my eyelids and face, I apply it with a brush, even when applying it on my lips.
