Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Dreamstate

Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Dreamstate

Almost a photo-reverse” of Naga Mask. (No, I did not plan this out when I scheduled the entries. It just ended up that way…) The dry application is a bit softer in terms of color payoff - the color doesn't necessarily pale, just looks a little dusty. Even the foiled...

Brighter green, a bit softened but not much. This color would almost look at home on a child's playground, except those are usually bolder primary hues…nevertheless, when I look at this shade, I see it fitting into a “kids' area” palette. It's a great green for folks who want...

Zoya’s Shawn

Zoya’s Shawn

Not my favorite shade ever. It's too yellow-toned, and based on promo pics and Zoya's shade description I was hoping for something a little deeper. (There. Got that out of the way.) The formula applied a bit on the streaky side for me. Two coats usually takes care of any...

Fairly straightforward pastel pink creme. The formula is very good, and it spreads out very well - no thinner spots or showing brushstrokes. Dry time was about average for Complete Salon Manicure polishes.

Zoya’s Zenith collection

Zoya’s Zenith collection

Zoya’s Zenith collection was not something that drew raves from me. One of the colors was a bar-glitter, which I’m not a personal fan of; and two of the others were Zoya’s “holographic” shades, which have a very very sparse scattering of holographic particles. It did have...

Femme Fatale’s Halloween 2013 release - eight eyeshadows, mostly deeper shades and cooler tones. I bought three of the shades in this collection before fully realizing that they were a collection Petrified Pumpkin is a rich deep almost-blackened green, Spectral Fragments is an excellent liner shade with amazing pigmentation, and...

Medium brown that looks much better foiled, than applied dry. It's got some red shimmer highlights, and the base color is just barely on the warm side of neutral…but it's deep enough and neutral enough to be more versatile than Flame (also from the Firestarter collection.)

Star Crushed Minerals’ Solar Flare

Deeper yellow, almost over-easy eggyolk yellow. This is one of the better performers in Star Crushed Minerals' lineup, with solid color payoff. The color adheres decently, but if you've ever had any problems with any eyeshadow fading you may get better results if you use a primer.

TKB Trading’s Pink Coral

TKB Trading’s Pink Coral

This is more pink than coral; but it's a great all-over basic shade. There's a touch of coral in the color, but it's soft enough that extremely cool-toned folks can wear this shade without too much difficulty. This is unblended mica, so if you're looking for a lower shimmer-factor, this...
