This is the palest color of the Three Wishes kit, but it’s not semisheer like so many other light Bare Escentuals colors have been. It can be used as a highlighter or brow shade if you use a light touch in application, but it’s pigmented enough to use anywhere on the lid and work fine without having to layer it on. (I wonder how a light color like this would look wetlined as a liner, with a dark...

I picked this color up off of Ebay, as it looked like an interesting cooler pink - something like Aromaleigh v1’s Kiss. I don’t know that I’ll head back for the other colors in this iteration of the Purist Grand kits (Motivate eyecolor, another plummy brown; and Exhilirate blush, a raspberry shimmer.)

More of a true yellow than Soft Focus Dune, though there are similarities. This color was a bit brighter.

This color was used on me in the “customer event” makeover I had done at a BE boutique back in November. The application was hideous, but I liked the color. It was being sold as one of four colors in one of those little iQuads (which I loathe), and when I asked if it was available individually, the SA said, “No, this is the only way you can get this color.” So I did what any self-respecting makeup addict does...

Amazing near-duochrome, similar to TKB’s Capricorn Sea mica (but with far more pigmentation) or Shiro Cosmetics’ Zora (but with a slightly cooler shimmer.) Like Commercialism, this color isn’t quite dark enough to be easily used as a dry liner shade; but it looks great wetlined. It does work as a contour or crease color, as well as a main color in an eye look.

Gorgeous, lush, rich purple with strong blue undertones. I definitely think that calling this a “vivid violet-indigo” is right on the mark! I’ve seen others define this as a “true royal blue”. I don’t know of any colors I own that are a close dupe for this, but I may find some similarities. Otherwise…if you’re a fan of bright blues or purples, you owe it to yourself to try this color. If you don’t want...

There’s enough shimmer to this color that it’s nearly metallic, but not so much shimmer that you risk heavy fallout. This color isn’t deep enough to use as a regular (dry) liner on its own unless you used sheers or softer neutrals; but it makes a gorgeous accent-liner when wetlined. If you have warmer skintones or overall coloring, you might do better with a yellow-green like Comet (from the Reindeer collection) or Pine Needles (a true neutral...

The blush was the surprise breakout of this grand collection: Promise is a widely flattering coral-pink-tangerine. I got the eye and cheek colors off of Ebay, long after the kit had been released and was sold out. Promise blush is very sheer, but it doesn’t over-oxidize and turn a (on me) very unflattering shade of orange.

The color combination is okay…but a bit pallid (especially considering the kit name). These are both re-released eye colors, and they’re not even among the strongest neutrals that BE has in its palette. The blush duo is an item that’s been around for a while, as well. At least they included a duo that contains a softer pale blush (Sorbet) and a softer deep blush (Joyous Jennifer) so that the kit works on a wider range of...
