A medium-deep moss green with strong blue tones (and undertones) with a shimmer finish. The visual texture of this color, as well as the richness of the shade, are what really make this shade stand out. It doesn’t stain the skin, but like some blackened eyeshadows, it can take a bit more work to remove cleanly.

This one makes a good accent shade. The mixture of green/blue/yellow in the color itself means that it doesn’t make such a great liner, because any application looks like two colors (minimum) instead of one, so it doesn’t do the best job of outlining and defining.

Persephone Minerals’ Pretty Prancer

  • Staying Power: 3 out of 4
  • Cost/Amount: ...I forget...

Medium-light amount of shimmer with a good color payoff. The color is a bit darker on application than it is in the pot. I had some initial hopes that this yellow would be a bit brighter than it is - but at least it’s not a brownish yellow, or semisheer.

The shimmer is very light; but the pigmentation levels are good. I love this shade! It’s one of the better performers in the Darksider collection, in my opinion: not much shimmer, but better payoff than EJPCreations (the other deep red I bought from this collection.) This shade enhances blue eyes spectacularly.

Beauty Tip

Soften a too-rich lipstick by blotting and then dusting your lips with finishing powder. (This also helps set the color.)
