The color deepens, out of the pot. Not a huge amount, but somewhat. If you wanted a brighter green, you could apply it over a white base.

Quadrille is a very good neutral green: no overt yellow or blue tones, so it works better with my coloring than something like Bare Escentuals’ Oasis, which is a yellow-green.

A very good basic softer shade, usable as a highlighter or an all-over color. It applies a bit softer than it appears in the pot - it’s not quite sheer, but if you want full opacity you’ll have to apply a bit extra. Because of the softer color and the slight shimmer, it makes a great highlighter when you want something neutral, but not as bold as a pure white highlighter shade. Again, because it’s semisheer, it has worked well for me when I’ve wanted to soften some bolder colors, or add a “soft-focus” effect to an overall eye look.

Fyrinnae’s Blogger Beauty
  • Vendor: Fyrinnae
  • Availability: part of the regular line; released in spring 2012
  • Color Range: medium magenta-mauve shimmer
  • Staying Power: 4 out of 4 stars
  • Cost/Amount: USD$5.90 for 3 grams
  • Would you purchase again: yes

This color could be either a darker fuchsia-pink, or a lighter magenta-purple…depending on lighting, what other colors you’re wearing that day, and - to a certain extent - application. The color shows more purple when applied dry over primer, but is more fuchsia and deeper when foiled. It’s like a darker, more intense version of Concrete Minerals’ Quarantine.

The shimmer on this color is a bit faint and sparse, especially when compared with earlier Fyrinnae purples like Meerkat or Darling Misfit, so don’t expect that level of shimmer from this color. This finish is actually about on par with Pteranodon and Bitey Tyrannosaur.

This shade is excellent for blue or brown eyes because of the contrast it will have. The ability of the color to pull to either pink or purple is another asset here! I think this color will work, albeit less well, with green and hazel eyes. There’s more of a contrast with green, rather than a complement; and hazel eye color can be predominantly gold-green, or gold-brown (depending on the individual) so again, more of a contrast-situation than complementary colors.

Almost a burgundy shade, very reminiscent of Velvet Dream from Aromaleigh v1’s Gothic Lolita collection. Since the Chiara collection was supposedly inspired by the Gothic Lolita collection, it makes a bit of sense. (And now I’m going to be spending lots of time trying to figure out the correspondences between the two! I think I know some already…)
