A really rich gold-yellow shimmer with excellent color payoff! The yellow isn’t burnished-gold, like a gold coin; it’s definitely a bright rich sun-gold. I plan on trying to use this as a liner shade, both tightlined and smudged out. I think the combination of a bright eyeliner and a medium or smokey all-over lid color could be interesting! (Though I think that, for additional contrast, the other color probably shouldn’t be as saturated a hue. That kind of lets out most of the colors from the Tributes collection! Though maybe if I paired this with Huntress applied dry, it might work…)
Persephone Minerals’ Sparky
- Vendor: Persephone Minerals
- Availability: part of the regular line
- Color Range: medium lilac-grey shimmer
- Staying Power: 3 out of 4
- Cost/Amount: ...I forget...
- Would you purchase again: yes
- Similar shades: Bare Escentuals' Marquise
Could be grey, or purple - could go either way. Reminds me a bit of Bare Escentuals’ Disco or Marquise. The pigmentation is good, and the shimmer is apparent when applied wet or dry. The color is a bit darker when applied dry (actually, I guess that would partially be the shimmer reflecting the light more when it’s applied wet!)
I wish I had a chance to get more of this color. Hopefully, if Persephone Minerals does re-open at some point, Sparky will still be part of the regular line.
