Blackened yellow-gold equals brown. Yeah, could almost see that coming… Similar to Aromaleigh's Drama Topaz, but with slightly more blackening and less of the yellow tones in that shade (which is fairly brown, itself.) I don't know how I'll best be able to use this, maybe as a liner. I think it would make a fairly good crease color, if I can somehow make it stay put.
I did buy this color from BFTE, I know that I did. But now it's gone from the website…??? Well, I guess it doesn't matter much, since I found out when I swatched this one that's it's nearly a dead ringer for TKB Trading's Mermaid's Gold, right down to the faint green iridescent shimmer. Last to Know adheres a bit better than TKB's color - which makes sense, because TKB colors are straight micas with no additives to help it...
The one non-brown in TKB's Café collection…is sort of brown. Ish. It's a medium-deep muted orange, but not so warm that it's utterly unwearable by folks with cooler coloring. I have worn it as an accent shade and liked the results, when I paired it with other neutrals (both the other shades from Café, and with a medium-light brown and a lighter white-beige for a much more “naturalistic” look.) The near-frost finish can be buffed down a bit. Just...
Limerance reminds me slightly of Poodle Pandemonium. The base color of the two shadows is awfully close; but Limerance has silver shimmer accents compared to Pandemonium's gold-sparkle. Still, if you really wanted Poodle Pandemonium and missed it, Limerance (which is now part of the official regular line, according to BFTE's Facebook) is a very good near-duplicate.
