BareMinerals’ Buxom Erin

BareMinerals’ Buxom Erin

A cooler pink than Pixie, closest to Zena but cooler still. It is definitely sheer - so it’s another “soft layer” or an effects shade. The finish isn’t quite shimmer free, but more like…a shimmer-flake? The particles are larger, don’t seem to have the same sharp color reflectivity that the shimmer particles do, but are also fairly sparse and do bounce back a little bit of light.

Misty, from the Sailor Girls, showed up as Emma. Same lip color, same artwork and everything. This was not one of my favorite shades in the Sailor Girls kit, and it’s not one of my favorites now. (I got it in a kit.) For the “white” lip polishes, I prefer them to have more sparkle, or a more pronounced duotone effect. This one is a nice enough lip polish, but it doesn’t do anything for me personally. It...

Physician’s Formula Cream GelLiner in GlamBlue Blue

Physician’s Formula Cream GelLiner in GlamBlue Blue

BareMinerals’ buxom Sasha

BareMinerals’ buxom Sasha

Sasha is a sheer neutral with a small amount of shimmer. It’s definitely sheer, and all but disappears on my lips. There was no artwork on this kit packaging, so I have no idea which - if any - Buxom artwork was supposed to go with Sasha. This one was paired up with Sydney, a neutral creme lip pencil with faint pink tones.

Lots of gold sparkle microparticles in this coral-pink base. The sparkle isn't overly apparent when applied, is more of a soft highlight. The base color flatters the middle range of skintones best, but can work well on a wide variety of cool-neutral to warm-neutral undertones. I don't know how this blush would work on deep-olive toned skin, or the deepest skintones.

I so wanted to love this color! Actually…I do love this color! I’m just very very very not-used to seeing a bold lip on my face, so I don’t reach for it much.

My Pretty Zombie’s Pelodera

My Pretty Zombie’s Pelodera

The blue looks very intense - almost intimidating in the pot. Then you apply it and…it's still pretty, but not so overpowering! It looks a little aqua-leaning in the wet application, but overall it does stay true to color. The finish is a bit rougher when applied wet, but a smoother, slightly softer pearl finish when I don't use any kind of foiling medium. This is a neutral-cool blue, which means that it wouldn't really flatter most warmer skintones....
