L’Oréal’s Infallible 24HR Eye Shadow in Gleaming Bronze (408)

L’Oréal’s Infallible 24HR Eye Shadow in Gleaming Bronze (408)

Because of the name, I thought this would be…well…more bronze. There aren’t really warm tones in this. I personally think it’s an attractive color, a good “pseudo-neutral”, though people with very strong undertones (either gold or pink or olive) may be less happy with how well it complements them.

This is a deeper version of “Easter-candy” purple. It doesn’t lean quite as red as it looks in the pot. It’s fairly close to a neutral purple. The texture and lack of binders in this colorant means that while it can be used as a color cosmetic, you’ll be happiest if you use a mixing medium, and possibly a primer and sealant. I think that I have nail polishes that are this shade, and I have some...

L’Oréal’s Infallible Paints Eyeliner in Wild Green

L’Oréal’s Infallible Paints Eyeliner in Wild Green

I didn’t realize how much I’d love this eyeliner when I got it! I thought it would be a deeper green, but not as dark as it is! It’s a lovely deep green that leans just barely blue, but there’s no blackening. The coverage is great! This does want a sealant to stay waterproof through a day, but it goes on with no thin or bald spots.

I love the color of this polish! It’s a rich tropical green with blue shimmer, and it self-levels very well. The downside is that this polish requires four coats to get to this level of coverage…and I still get pretty strong VNL.

Wet n Wild’s Fantasy Makers Paint Palette: Neutrals

Wet n Wild’s Fantasy Makers Paint Palette: Neutrals

I picked this up last year, but it’s taken me a while to publish my review. The colors had been the same for about four years: three skintone-shades, and then zombie-green, blood-red, and ghoul-grey. (My color names, not Wet n Wild’s.) The colors apply fairly well, though they take a while to cure down thoroughly. I recommend applying multiple thinner layers to build up the color depth that you want, letting each layer dry before applying the next,...

This reminds me strongly of TSS’ Rethink Beauty and Aromaleigh’s Angelica, but this is a softer and slightly warmer version. It’s got great color payoff, and it blends okay. There is shimmer in this, but it’s a bit scattered, so if you prefer to wear matte eyeshadows most of the time this might still be within your comfort zone.

I like the concept of this color, but it applies fairly close to sheer. In that, it reminds me a bit of BE’s Chameleon: looked like a strong blue in the pot, but didn’t have the strongest color payoff. The silver-grey tones made me think of BE’s Showers. If you want strength of color out of this one, you may want to apply this over a blue or grey cream base.
