I was hoping for a medium purple or purple-rose liner color for some of the many mid-range rose and violet lip colors in my collection. The shade is right, but it’s a little brighter than I would prefer. This isn’t quite neon, but it flirts with the border of that range. It also tends to bleed a little, which is both unexpected and deeply disappointing in a lip liner.
The name, in online shops, is “Spiritual”. The label on the back says “Namaste with Cannabis Sativa.” I think that someone at Revolution realized that a) we were Collectively Over Cannabis Sativa in makeup; and b) Namaste might possibly, probably, perhaps, be seen as somewhat culturally appropriative. Apparently this realization did not happen until after the first batches were ready to ship or had already shipped, so they just said “Nah, go with it for the first several thousand. If...
This looks like it has about the same coverage as the other mascaras from Colourpop - not a lot of clumping, but not much else, either. If you want a slight tint to your lashes, minimal volumizing, and don’t need your mascara to be waterproof, this one will probably work for you.
Sheer silver-blue with red interference, under rainbow holographic glitter. This won’t get you a smooth linear holographic effect, but it’s lovely nonetheless. The silver-blue base shade is so subtle in the bottle, I honestly thought that this might end up being a holographic-glitter topper. One coat gets a sheer blue-silver with faint pink flashes; two coats deepens to semi-sheer grey-blue with copper-red accents; three coats got me the blue silver with a fairly strong red interference effect. I...
Three previously-released shades plus the then-new Party Monster. These can combine to form a look in and of themselves, but if you don’t look good in warm eyeshadows this might not be your best choice. While Blood and Guts is almost brown, it’s still a warm red-brown; and Hearts is absolutely, definitely, no-disguising-it red.
This one lays down some nicely even coverage. It’s almost a stonewashed-denim shade. The blending is a little better than average, for these Infallible 24HR Eye shadows: not the best I’ve worked with, but far from the worst. I don’t find myself reaching for this one too often, and I think that’s because this is a “workhorse” blue: basic color, no duotone effect, not super-rich, just good solid color payoff and adhesion.
This looks a lot like BE’s old color Bon Bon, or Mattese Elite’s Kaleidescope. It isn’t a color that gets created too often, but it does crop up every now and again. When used as a liner, the deep brown base is the most prominent, though the interference flash is visible. While it does blend nicely, the brown is VERY pigmented and can overpower softer shades.
