BareMinerals’ Smoky Sequins
Almost looks blackened…but it isn't. Not quite. The color has some greyed-blue tones that show more clearly than the violet - and it definitely softens when applied, compared to the color I see in the pot.

This is my least favorite of the five “80s-movies” colors released to date. It's a lovely shade with no blackening. But coverage is not the most even, and it doesn't apply super-smoothly. Perhaps because it's a sparkle shade (definite sparkle, this is not just a shimmer, you'll want a sealant...
I love jeweltones, I really do…but a really good neutral every now and again is a welcome counterpoint. It’s like a visual palette cleanser that doesn’t dessicate you to the point of screaming for the familiar riot of colors, it just gets you back to calming zero...
I didn’t actually buy this kit. I already owned all of the colors. (A few years ago, they were all part of the regular line. Now, none of them are available for individual purchase.) The four colors go well together, not a spectacular combination, but some very good pairings...
Another kit built based around theme, rather than colors that definitely go well together…but by circumstance, these all coordinate well. (Even if the overall mix is a little on the muted side.) Leigh Ann is dark enough that it almost looks brown, and can work very well as a...
Another of the “how in the heck did this not get photographed when I first catalogued my collection???” colors. Moss isn't a gorgeous shade. It is much more brown, than green. It looks like…I don't know. But I live in the Pacific Northwest. I know moss. It keeps trying...
There's a little more buffed-pink than peach in this one, but the peach is there. The gold shimmer is faint, and it shows up much better when applied dry. The finish is somewhere between a muted frost and a shimmer. It's a good basic performer that works best on neutral...
Two eyeshadows, both originally customer-created blends, both created using Nude Beach and one other eyecolor. This is not one of my favorite kits - the colors are too subtle, it’s an understated “basic performers” kit. I think they chose the two eyeshadows because they both contain Nude Beach, so...
This kit came out just before I started buying BE, and I don’t have information about the price. It was a fairly recent kit, though, so someone somewhere must have info. (If you do, I’d love to record how much it was!) This has some nicer colors, all...
