I can almost see using this over some of the Bite Beauty multisticks, to add a little bit of shimmer and to slightly alter the base color.

I prefer using this shade as either a backdrop for arabesque nail art, or as a stamping color. The formula is good, it self-levels nicely and is pretty durable.

This collection was started as a replacement to Aromaleigh’s sample program: instead of several samples, each order over a certain minimum would receive one mini jar size of a “deluxe sample” jar, but with about half the product) as a gift-with-purchase. These colors were released for each month starting in June 2017.

Initially I dismissed this color out of hand. It looked like a yellow-green, which generally does not look great on me.

This color looks slightly pinkish when I apply it dry, but applying it wet makes the gold interference layer take center stage. For me, this is a very nice near-neutral highlight around my eyes, or an all-over color to balance out a deeper matte shade.

Bite Beauty’s Multistick in Mauvember

Bite Beauty’s Multistick in Mauvember

This color was introduced in November 2017. I like this shade, but I do wish that it had been more purple…you know, actually “mauve.” (They probably chose not to do that, to make the color more widely appealing. But damn, I could really wear the heck out of a reddish-brown purple, or even a paler purple!) This is a pretty versatile shade for me. It works equally well for my lips, cheeks, and lids.

Simply Naturals’ Plasma

Simply Naturals’ Plasma

I’ve had this for so many years…I can’t believe I hadn’t swatched it before this point. The color complements my eyes very nicely, and compared to some of the Simply Naturals colors, this has pretty good adhesion. I can’t find any single TKB mica that I own, that matches this color exactly. It’s possible that the original colorant was discontinued (I did buy this a decade ago), or that this color is a combination...

When I apply this wet, I see more of the different colors in this shade - discrete dots of color, like a pointilist painting. It looks very similar to Mercurial, from the Alchemie collection. (Mercurial has a little more blue in it, but they’re extremely close!)

Color Club’s Bell Bottom Babe

Color Club’s Bell Bottom Babe

This was the only color I got from the Poptastic collection. I thought it would have a stronger duotone/interference effect, but the red shimmer-layer is a bit faint. There’s a very faint red interference effect - EXTREMELY faint. It took me three coats to get to full opacity. The finish is almost faintly textured - there’s some light-reflection, but not much. If you prefer your manicures to have a shiny finish, this would probably not be a...
