Urban Decay’s 24-7 Eye Pencil Vault

An EXTREMELY limited-time offer…that has come back. (Yes, really.) If you’ve ever wondered “self, how can I get every single eyeliner pencil in Urban Decay’s regular collection?” you now have an answer: pay $295. This was originally released in early spring of 2013, and I managed to snag one in the rush to buy. The Vault was available again beginning in October 2013, for the 2013 winter holiday season. And…it’s back again. (But only at one location.)

Urban Decay’s 24-7 Eye Pencil Vault

This kit was such a great value because each pencil in it effectively only cost USD$7.37, instead of USD$20.00. The release of this kit coincided with the 24-7 collection change, with several colors being introduced and others being discontinued. If you already owned most of Urban Decay's 24-7 Glide On Eye Pencils, it might not be such a great value. But if you were someone like me, who until that point had only really bought the kits (and so owned perhaps half a dozen of the regular-collection pencils) this was an absolutely excellent way to get the whole collection. I loved almost all of the 24-7 pencils I'd used to that point, so even though it was a big chunk of money all at once, I felt like I was really getting a good value. I don't use the UD 24-7 pencils exclusively, and there are a few that I'm less than fond of (the matte pencils' formula could use a little improvement) but overall I'm very glad that I got the pencils in this form. The individual pencils cost me far less than they would have if I bought them on their own.

Currently (August 2014) this kit is only available at Ulta, only available online, and probably only as long as supplies last. Use Ebates ( <- my Ebates link) to purchase the UD Vault at Ulta and get 4% cash back. (Always wear sunscreen, and always use Ebates.)
