The primary color for Aries is red…which made this collection one of the more monotone ones. There were warm reds, softer reds, cool reds, bright reds…but all definitely reds. While the colors may not work as eye shades, they are substantial enough to be used on the lips and nails.

The SheSpace’s Sitting Pretty on Fifth kit

• Availability: late March 2009 - limited edition commemorative collection, available through TSS' online storefront and at their Chicago boutique
• Contains: six 3-gram-jar eyeshadows, one 3-gram-jar blush, one tinted hydrating lip balm

A commemorative kit released in honor of the boutique's new location on Fifth Avenue in Naperville. (And geeky me notes that this new location is close to somewhere I'd like to make part of my own personal trip to Illinois: the Fermi National Accellerator Lab. Possibly very few other makeup junkies would care what that is...but I'm geeking all over the place.) I just ordered this kit today, and am looking forward to it! TSS has mostly released collections, rather than kits - I actually prefer collections, because then I can pick and choose which items I truly want. But the price of this, the value for the money, the colors...and Heather's very well known ability to make lovely shades meant that while I've been spurning other "kits" lately, this one will receive a warm welcome.

Aromaleigh v1’s Ocean

• Availability: color has been discontinued. Was available as part of their Pure Eyes Frost collection
• Color Range: bright aqua blue pearl
• Staying Power: 3 out of 4 stars
• Cost/Amount: USD$5.89 for a 10-gram jar with sifter, when I bought it
• Would you purchase again: yes
• Similar shades: Simply Naturals' Bluebell (less aqua, more sparkle), Bare Escentuals' Blue Moon (less green, same finish), Bare Escentuals' Freedom (more grey, less pearl)

I was clued into the wonderfulness that is this color by MarjaMariachi…who also told me (when I expressed interest) that it was being discontinued, and then found me the link to buy it. I bought three pots. Me and my stocking-up… These were quite full pots already - so much so that once I repotted them to match the rest of my collection, I ended up with two packed-to-the-brim 10-gram jars (with sifters in).
