One of three eyeshadows in the Snow Angels holiday kit...which, I admit, I got primarily for the blushes (which are both gorgeous on me, by the way.) This color actually looks quite different when applied dry versus foiled - foiling gives a deeper, dusty-moss-sage shade. This color has decent payoff, but it definitely looks better and adheres longer if applied over a damp primer.

I initially wasn't too sure of this color. I had only bought a few shades with My Pretty Zombie, and they ranged from "okay, about average" to "don't love this color" to knocking my socks off (the entire Blue Period trio.) This color is a little greener than it appears on the vendor site, but it's definitely a green-blue, not a green. The color payoff is excellent, either wet or dry application. If you want a similar shade but a little softer, try Rabies. (It's also a bit less green and more obviously blue...but it's also a softer shade.)

TKB Trading’s True Green

  • Color Range: bright emerald-green shimmer
  • Staying Power: 3 out of 4
  • Cost/Amount: USD$14 for one ounce
  • Would you purchase again: yes

I admit, my color-comparison language is a little weak when it comes to true greens. Is this kelly? New-leaf? I don’t know, and I don’t care - this is an absolutely gorgeous shade! Bright jeweltone shimmer, wonderfully rich color, good payoff. This is a straight mica from wholesaler TKB, so don’t apply this without a primer or it just won’t stay put very long!

This is part of the True color collection - these colors are a combination of FD&C dyes (approved for use in cosmetics) and micas. They resist water, so I had to pay special attention when foiling this color…but it’s definitely worth the extra effort!
