Meow Cosmetics’ Sweaty Paws

Sweaty Paws looks very very similar to Drama Silver. It isn’t a blackened shade, like the Pure Drama shades were; but the blackening wasn’t very visible on Drama Silver. In my swatch-application, Sweaty Paws looks better when patted on dry than when foiled. The color payoff is better, the finish is brighter, it has more overall impact.
Recently, this and the other colors in the Feliners collection went from being packed in 10-gram jars, and costing $10.25 for 2.5 grams, to being $8 for 1.2 grams and being in 5-gram jars. The move was at customer request, but…the price per gram has effectively nearly doubled. That’s kind of a bitter pill to swallow.
Fyrinnae’s Purgatory

This is…well, the wording’s going to sound odd, but here goes: it’s a rich blackened red. Not necessarily a ruby red, but a deep velvety red. The blackening is pretty apparent whether it’s applied wet or dry; and like many Fyrinnae shades, this color does not seem to look good foiled. It loses all its shimmer and most of the red, becoming a sooty black with a cabernet wash.
Fyrinnae’s Monarch Butterfly is also a blackened red shimmer, but its red is a warmer, slightly brighter shade.

This color is a little bit sheer-ish. It’s a straight mica, so really excellent color payoff would be a bonus, not an expectation. In the pot, this looks like a bright navy. Upon application, the color softens a bit and loses some of its shimmer. TKB’s Sapphire is a lush almost bright medium-deep blue, where this is what I personally picture when someone describes something as “sapphire”. The shade is also similar to the lighter shades of lapis stone that I’ve seen.
This is from TKB, and is a straight mica. When applying, be sure to use an adhesive base, or it’ll be sure to crease and fade fairly quickly.
